London, UK -(FirearmsGuide.com)- Twenty Years Since Relaunch. This week we mark the anniversary of the re-launch of the The Purdey Hammer Ejector. This beatifully elegant model is synonymous with many of the most famous Victorian and Edwardian game shots, including the Marquis of Ripon, Lord Walsingham and King George V. Our current design, reintroduced in 2004, has all of the elegance of these older guns, and the benefit of being suitable for modern cartridges.

Bespoke To Your Requirements. Available in 12 and 20-bore, our modern day hammer guns combine the best of old and new technology. Available in the barrel length of your choice from 26 - 32-inches, this special model can be proofed for Superior Lead or Steel. The action depicted here has been engraved with our traditional Purdey Rose & Scroll pattern, complete with a case colour hardened finish. However clients wishing to place an order for this model can choose any engraving pattern they wish.

One Major Change. Although virtually every detail has been faithfully replicated from our original hammer guns from over a century ago, there is one major change. As with all our models, the action now features the addition of a Safety Slide! This would not have appeared on the original hammer guns and although this can be chosen as automatic or non-automatic it is very much a necessity.
