London, UK -(FirearmsGuide.com)- Truly Historical Significance. The Purdey Hammer Ejector played an important part in many of the classic game stories of the Goldern Age of shooting. They became synonymous with many of the most famous Victorian and Edwardian game shots, including the Marquis of Ripon, Lord Walsingham, and Harry Stonor. The last examples were completed in 1931 for perhaps their most famous exponent - King George V.

A Reinvigorated Classic. After an absence of over seventy years, and following requests from a number of our American clients, we re-introduced the Purdey hammer gun in 2004. Developed from an original pigeon gun action, which we felt more suitable for modern loads, the only change required was the addition of a safety mechanism!

A Slice Of Gunmaking Excellence. Available in both 12- and 20-bore scaled actions, these guns are capable of handling any modern cartridge but still retain an old-world traditional feel. They are offered with a full range of customisation options, including Teague Chokes, steel proofing and bespoke engraving. The only limitation is the client's imagination!
